Current Financials
In New York State, nonprofit organizations are required to follow specific regulations regarding transparency of their financial statements. These regulations are outlined in the New York State Non-Profit Revitalization Act and include requirements for annual financial reporting and public availability of financial records. Nonprofit organizations in New York State must file an annual report with the Attorney General's Charities Bureau and make their financial statements available to the public upon request. Additionally, nonprofits with annual revenues over $250,000 must have an independent audit of their financial statements.
